The Parish Church, dedicated to St Andrew, holds a commanding position above the road from Exeter, overlooking a steep field topped by level ground known as
the 'Sentry' (originally 'Sanctuary field' referring to the fact it was church property, or glebe).
Although there is older stonework within, most of the church fabric is of fifteenth and sixteenth century date. A short history of the church is available.
