For those who wish to trace their family history back beyond 1837, Parish Records are a vital source of information. While not every inhabitant of Moreton in the seventeenth century left a tombstone, many of those buried, married or baptised in Moreton appear in the registers. In many ways the registers preserve more history of the community than any number of pictures of the Square or important houses.
