GLEBE – GLEBELANDS

The glebe was the land owned by the church; it originally included Mardon House and the Sentry or Sanctuary fields, as well as a number of other fields. One field in particular becamse known as ‘Glebelands’ – this was developed in 2006 and is now a street name. [IJFM]
